Rising supports, encourages, and provides resources for new and emerging people leaders in a way that breaks the traditional meetup model.
What do we mean by the traditional meetup model?
You know this scene:
You walk into an event, get your nametag and then awkwardly stand around hoping to find someone you can talk to.
When you do, it's a lot of small talk and you leave with a business card that may or may not be helpful to you in the future.
You have no idea who in the room you should meet so you take your seat and reread the program 5-6 times in an attempt to look busy.
The speaker takes the stage: it's half helpful/ half a veiled pitch for the company they represent.
Then the event concludes, you walk back to your car and hope the hour you spent there had some impact on your career.
Maybe it's just us?
